The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), part of the Ministry of Home Affairs, is holding a recruitment drive for 133 Constable (General Duty) positions under the Sports Quota for 2025. This initiative aims to enlist talented male and female athletes in various sports disciplines for Group ‘C’ non-gazetted, non-ministerial roles.

The recruitment is open to eligible candidates from all states and union territories, including the northeastern regions, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh.

The first step in this selection process is the Physical Standard Test (PST). Candidates must attend the PST at their assigned centers across different zones and states. While the official date for the PST is still pending, the ITBP Constable PST Admit Cards will be available on the official website soon.

Selection Process

Here are a few ways to rephrase the selection process, offering different emphases:

How We Select Our Candidates

Our selection process assesses applicants’ documents, physical standards, and medical fitness. It begins with a thorough check of all online applications. If your application is eligible, you’ll receive your PST admit card and be invited to the recruitment stages.

The first stage is Document Verification (DV). Here, we’ll verify your original documents related to education, sports achievements, age, caste, and domicile. If your documents are in order, you’ll proceed to the Physical Standard Test (PST).

During the PST, we’ll measure your height, chest (for male candidates), and weight, according to your category and region. Successful PST candidates then undergo a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). If you’re found medically unfit, you have the option to request a Review Medical Examination (RME). Ultimately, final selection is based on merit, considering your sports achievements and medical fitness.

Examination Schedule

The date for the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be announced soon on the official website. We’ll notify candidates about the schedule and venue via their registered email or SMS. Make sure to regularly check the official portal for the latest updates.
