NICL Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply for the NICL Assistant job, you must be between 21 and 30 years old and have a degree from a recognized university. If you don’t meet these requirements, you won’t be considered for the job. Taking the NICL Assistant exam doesn’t guarantee that you will get the job. When you apply online, you will need to submit documents to prove that you are eligible for the job.
NICL Assistant Age Limit 2024 (As on 01/10/2024)
Candidates appearing for the NICL Assistant Exam 2024 must check the prescribed age limit set for the candidates. Candidates must fulfill the minimum and maximum age limit of NICL Assistant posts.
- You should be at least 21 years old but not older than 30.
- Depending on your category, there might be some flexibility on the upper age limit.
Age relaxation will be provided as per the government rules to upper age limit for the reserved categories.

Note: If you qualify for age limits from more than one group, your age limit will be reduced by the total of those limits, but you can’t be younger than 18.
If you want a reduced age limit, you’ll need to show copies of the documents that prove you qualify. You must also have the original documents ready to check when you take the language test or during any other part of the hiring process.
NICL Assistant Nationality
A candidate applying for NICL Assistant Recruitment 2024 in the Company must be either: —
a) a citizen of India, or
b) a subject of Nepal, or
c) a subject of Bhutan, or
d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania,
Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the
Government of India.
NICL Assistant Education Qualification 2024 (As on 01/10/2024)
- A candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidate should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 01.10.2024.
- Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the NICL Assistant Vacancy for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential. To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State / UT, a Regional Language Test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.
